thedontcarebear Posted December 1, 2007 Posted December 1, 2007 Just got this yesterday from a user on here, and it's awesome, here are a couple of pictures! Quote
thedontcarebear Posted December 1, 2007 Author Posted December 1, 2007 Yeah, they do a soft and hardcore aged type, the sandberg site has a bit more about it, mine is hardcore. Quote

David Nimrod Posted December 1, 2007 Posted December 1, 2007 Have Sandberg been making basses long enough for one to actually get into this state naturally? I bet someone here knows when they started out... I only became aware of them fairly recently. Quote
ped Posted December 1, 2007 Posted December 1, 2007 Did he forget to wrap it before posting it? ;0) Looks nice, get some sound samples up! Cheers ped Quote
thedontcarebear Posted December 2, 2007 Author Posted December 2, 2007 They've been around for 21 years, so I guess a bass could get like the aged ones, but I doubt they even made this model back then! I'm not bothered either way, I just wanted a Sandberg again, and this came along. Quote
thedontcarebear Posted December 3, 2007 Author Posted December 3, 2007 Sandberg are sending me the logo over from Germany to put on by the neck too as it was missing it, very nice of them indeed. Quote
thedontcarebear Posted September 19, 2008 Author Posted September 19, 2008 I had to find this thread as I finally changed the strings to my usual 40's yesterday and couldn't remember how long I had the bass (and those strings sat on it)! It's still awesome, in fact, with the new strings, I am preferring it over the Vigier at the moment. Quote
dub_junkie Posted September 19, 2008 Posted September 19, 2008 looks great and a real player. I only recently tried a Sandberg at GuitarGuitar Glasgow............and loved it! Quote
thedontcarebear Posted September 19, 2008 Author Posted September 19, 2008 (edited) Yeah, it is awesome, I had a Sandberg years ago, got it from German ebay and had never heard of them before, sold it as I was playing other instruments more and then when this came up, snapped it up very quickly. wateroftyne Posted September 19, 2008 Posted September 19, 2008 I have my eye on something at the moment. If it falls through, I might be ordering one of these.. Quote

If it falls through, I might be ordering one of these..[/quote] From the look of your honed working Fender collection , your bass history as posted , and your ruthless, if heart rending, weeding of anything that isn't a perfect fit - you don't strike me as someone who's likely to let the right deal fall through! Look forward to seeing that one. Quote
wateroftyne Posted September 19, 2008 Posted September 19, 2008 Why, thank you! Unfortunately, I'm at the point financially where I have to buy what I need rather than want... hence waving godbye to stuff I'd rather keep forever. Fender do a bass to the spec I need, but they're tricky to find. If the one I have my eye on doesn't come off, Sanderg'll do one that's similar. And sunburst. and Torty. Quote
thedontcarebear Posted September 19, 2008 Author Posted September 19, 2008 What spec are you after then? Quote
doctor_of_the_bass Posted September 19, 2008 Posted September 19, 2008 ..just to add - Adam's Sandberg is excellent - Sandberg basses just feel right - its like you've had one forever! Quote

agoulding Posted October 19, 2008 Posted October 19, 2008 thats a pretty cool finish. i cant help but piss myslef at some of the relic type stuff brands like vintage come out with...finishes so that you can actually see the sandpaper marks. rediculous Quote
Rayman Posted October 22, 2008 Posted October 22, 2008 I love Sandbergs, especially these relic jobs. Never had one, but tried plenty. Very very nice indeed. Quote
