Do you think it would be able to cope playing small/medium acoustic(ish) gigs?

It's really just a large practice amp. It'll get you heard over acoustic instruments, but if there's a drummer involved you're going to struggle.

That said, the older Peavey stuff always seems a lot louder than the wattage would suggest, so give it a shot.
