bottlebassman
Hi all, tonight I am playing my 1st gig since the late 80's (gulp!). Playing with my rock covers band FullBottle at a local pub. I'm nervous, but excited too! We have 2 sets to do, about 28 songs I think in total. We have rehearsed well for a good few months now, so here's hoping all goes well. Wish me luck! Clarky
Did the same thing myself back in 2006 after a 25 year gap! If you are well rehearsed it will be like putting on a pair of old slippers and from a few seconds in it will be a blast! Enjoy

Went out cycling this morning to relax my mind - didn't work! Came back home after an hour in case I fell off and did some serious damage to myself! bottlebassman
Well gotta say it went better than I could have dreamed of! Think we played well, got a good response, will be booked there again and someone from a local club came along and wanted to book us for a gig there! But most importantly, I had a great time, really enjoyed myself, didn't want it to end and can't wait for the next gig! (in 2 weeks). Will try and get a few pics up shortly for you all to have look at. In case anyone wants to know this is the setlist (s) we played - Set1 Working on it (Chris Rea) Bad case of loving you (Robert Palmer) Walking by myself (Gary Moore) Keep your hands to yourself (Georgia Satellites) Dancing in the moonlight (Thin Lizzy) Message in a bottle (The Police) Rocky Mountain Way (Joe Walsh) Hard to handle (Black Crowes) Long train running (Doobie Brothers) Mustang Sally (Commitments) - sorry - waiting for abuse!!!! Tush (ZZ Top) Set2 Can't get enough (Bad Company Feel like making love (Bad Company) Wishing Well (Free) Black night (Deep Purple) House of the rising sun (Animals) Smokin' in the boys room (Motley Crue) Fortune Faded (RHCP) Whiskey in the jar (Thin Lizzy / Metallica) Times like these (Foo Fighters) Touch too much (AC/DC) Tie your mother down (Queen) Hammer to fall (Queen) Sex on fire (Kings of Leon) Alright now (Free) Smoke on the water (Deep Purple) Encore!?! - Caroline (Status Quo)
