6stringbassist Posted December 2, 2007 Share Posted December 2, 2007 (edited) I've been experimenting recently to find 'my favourite' string for my Modulus Quantum 6. The following strings were tried and rejected either because of the sound, or in the case of the flatwounds, because of the string tension. They are all in as new condition, the Rotosounds were only on for about 5 minutes, they are a very high tension string. None were gigged. My Modulus is a 35" scale instrument, so these should still be OK for pretty much any bass. They are all 6 string sets, but can obviously be used on a 5 string, you could experiment with a high C if ou wanted. These are the strings - Rotosound monel flats medium gauge - SOLD. DR Hi beam titefit medium gauge - SOLD TI flats - SOLD Status hotwire flats- SOLD I'm after £7.50 for each one which includes postage.
