Ebony Fretboard, has all the $$ tones but the ebony board adds a nicer tightness to the tone - removes some of the mud that some associate with the $$. I'm in the process of giving it a good wax and setup with some almost brand new TI flats - which are my favourite strings for it, gives are great vintage vibe. It's not exactly what I am after as I sooner have a Bubinga standard Covette but it is still gorgeous. Does not help its out of my price range. I'll be travelling from near cambridge to york on thursday - so there is the possibility that if there was any interest in this bass that i could drop it off on my way. I'm also on the hunt for a p bass so its possible that i might consider trades for one - only requirement is it has a maple FB.
