fenderbender82 Posted July 7, 2010 Posted July 7, 2010 Has anybody tried them? What do they sound like? I don't have very much experience with half rounds in general, but some people seem to think they just sound like old, worn, rounds and that's not what I like. I am a long time TI flats user, but now I feel like trying something else, and since the Picatos are very nicely priced I thought of giving them a try. Quote

Power, tone, harmonics and a fair amount of brightness. The Roundwounds are cracking, so the half rounds may be in the same ball park. As you say, not expensive, so IMO, well worth a go. Cheers. leejac Posted December 17, 2011 Posted December 17, 2011 I use them for everything now. Love 'em! Enough vintage vibe for my Soul band and enough wallop for my rock & blues work. Noblisters, super smooth feel and they're kind on my frets. Can't recommend them highly enough! Quote
