derrenleepoole
This is a quality version of Footprints by Andy Summers. Anyone know the band playing with him?
OldGit
According to the Youtube vid comments "Andy does it again! with the best in the business, Bernie Dresel on drums. Jerry Watts on bass." Personally I think playing Footprints at this speed murders it.
KevB
Could have been worse, they might have stuck a bass solo in it

XB26354
I don't think moving it from 3/4 to 4/4 helped either.
Rayman
Bernie Dresel, fabulous drummer, had the pleasure of meeting him a couple of times while he was playing for Brian Setzer, along side a superb DB player Mark Winchester.
OldGit
Some great playing as long as you do what they seem to have done and forget they are playing Footprints
Rayman
Yeah I agree, and I'm not overly impressed with some of Mr Summers' playing either to be honest.
BenTunnicliffe
Pretty mental rendition and brilliant in it's own right (IMHO) but I find it hard to detach my opinion from my experiences of thoroughly enjoying playing through the tune as slugishly slow as possible so I think i'll stick to listening to the original. The guitar playing reminded me of some of the JazzPistols stuff especially the live video of them playing Spain on youtube in terms of the way the sound and lines sat within a rather intense and modern sounding drum and bass rhythm section. Cheers for sharing the link Derren, Ben.

That's where I know the name from - he did the "68 Comeback Special" stuff with Setzer, didn't he?
