Earbrass
That's really beautiful. Good job. How did you get into playing the viola da gamba? Do you use it a lot for modern music like this, or mainly for baroque and earlier?
ghigo85
Thank you very much!!! [quote name='Earbrass' post='895789' date='Jul 15 2010, 04:11 PM']That's really beautiful. Good job. I try to' play also contemporary music. I play music from modern and contemporary composer. In my latest album, "Plugin contemporary music and ponzini plays uematsu" I played with viola 6 pieces fron Final Fantasy soundtracks, and till this recording I started to use mostly viola da gamba in my music. I have two different violas, one baroque (Colichon 7 stringa bass viol) and a modern one (M2 6 strings conceived for me, with a different shape, a little bit smaller on the sides, and tuned 440, instead the baroque one tuned 415). If you check out my website www.guidoponzini.eu and the other YouTube videos you can see other videos with viola Edited July 16, 2010 by ghigo85
