MarkBass Cabinet 1/4 inch jacks

hi, probably dumb question.

Just picked up 2 MarkBass Traveler Cabs (2 x 10). Each cab has one speakon and 2 1/4 inch jacks.

Question : why 2 1/4 inch jacks ? What's the difference between them (if any) ?

2 jacks so you can daisy-chain them.

Input in to the cab and out to another one

How can you tell which is which ?

Some link their cabs. Amp + Cab + Cab as some plug both cabs directly into their.. each way changes the independence and your power. Why not two spekon? who knows.. My orange cab has two spekon/1.4jack connections

I wish manufacturers didn't use jacks for speaker connections; it's too easy to use the wrong sort of cables.

Thx[/quote]One 1/4" so you can run it with a 1/4" cable from an amp with no Speakon out, one 1/4" to parallel another cab with a 1/4" input. But you should be using the Speakon anyway. Why not two Speakons on each cab? It saved MarkBass two quid.

It doesn't matter. They will be wired in parallell.
