basshead56
Hey guys, I am considering a move away for a few months and I would like to bring a bass with me. I wont risk bringing one of my P Basses or TBirds that far, but a Steinberger has popped up here and I´ve heard good things about them. What I´d like to know is, do they travel well? Could I bring it on a plane as carry-on luugage? Do they fit in overhead lockers on planes? Are they worth the money? Anything else I should consider? RhysP
Is it a "Proper" carbon fibre Steinberger or one of the many licensed knock-offs that are available?

Pete Academy
I don't know about the Synapse but the L2 carbon fibre is indestructible.
Stacker
Synapse has the wooden body but CF neck. Seriously, though, if you're only going away for a few months there's no point shelling out on a L/XL series Steiny, or even the Synapse. You'd be better of picking up -if you can - one of those Traveller basses. I had one for a while and used to take it away with me. Had the 'stethoscope' thing that plugged into a plate that the piezo sat out so you could actually hear the bass. It had a single coil pup as well and you could blend that in with the piezo.
