I've had this book for years, and I've started to go through it again in my attempt to get back into practising regularly - the only thing is that I can't for the life of me find the second CD! Managed to find CD1 but CD2 seems to have disappeared.

Would anyone who owns this book be able to rip CD2 to mp3 and make it available for download, or make me a copy? You'd be helping a fellow bass player!

Apologies for resurrecting the thread

I own original book and CD2 but lost CD1 (probably when moved house last year) any chances you'll help me folks and send CD1 in mp3? Thanks a lot!

I've got the book and both CDs in perfect condition.

I'll send out copy CDs to any folk who genuinely have the book. As there seem to be a few folk I would ask you for a contribution to cover the costs.

PM me.

Cheers
Richard

Would you recommend this book? I was looking at it a while ago but changed my mind. Was just wondering if it should go on the christmas list or not?

Don't ask me. I've hardly had it open. I'm busy working through other books.

My gut feeling is it's probably more suitable for players who are further down the road than I am.

This book is full of all sorts of grooves and ideas that will keep you busy for a long time, it's a big book!

I was taught by Paul (the author) and he's a great player and teacher, so I would recommend the book highly.

I wasn't taught by the author and I don't know him but the book is absolutely excellent.

I have to say, I don't use the CDs that much and I think you will get more out of recording and really listening to yourself than playing along to the CDs. I have played along to the CDs and somehow it is a bit too easy to fool yourself that things are okay when the backing track is chugging along.

So if you are missing the CDs, I wouldn't worry about it unless you are trying to sell it
