cameltoe
Never even picked one up before last week. Saw one hanging on the wall of our drummer's office (he's a sound technician at a local college). Picked it up and played it unplugged..... felt amazing It had about three year old strings on which felt as dead as flatwounds, the frets were worn down a fair bit, but my god.... Just had that lovely worn-in feeling, I can't describe it. He reckons it's a 90's one but it felt and looked older than that. Was very well set up, and the whole bass just vibrated when I played it. Felt so alive and 'One piece', as opposed to some newer basses which feel like seperate components bolted together (which they are, but you get my drift) Now on my GAAAAAAAAAAS LIST! dr1
know what you mean - one piece. japanese basses are so good. my MIJ jazz (1994.) is best I ever touched! i once played one Precision (CIJ or MIJ) and that bass also felt and sounded right. it was sunburst/maple- however, i had a JV Squier P and that bass doesnt backed that "better than Fender" legend. throwoff
My CIJ P is a complete darling. Admitedly to most people I havge ruined it by changing the pickups, attaching a wierdly placed thumbrest and putting a bridge cover on but balls to the non believers! Cat Burrito
My original 90s MIJ P-bass is currently divided up across 2 Precisions, both of which are great basses
WHUFC BASS
Used to own a mid 90s CIJ Jazz which to be honest didn't impress me much at all.
