Even the photo of that just oozes QUALITY but it's just another jazz bass

Nice, BUT....

I bet it's got the awful Fender Pre-amp in it, rather than an East or Sadowsky, and that they haven't included the wiring mods (as found online) to make it sound better.
And for £2.3K, I'd want morev attention to that sort of detai.l
