Minor thread hijack!

Has anyone with a relatively new 4003 experienced a quieter low E string than the A and D strings? I think I am going to lower the pole pieces under the louder strings and raise the bridge pickup as a whole slightly to counteract overall volume loss. Is that right?

Common problem with Rics I'm afraid.

Normally a good set-up is all that's required, but I once had one that wouldn't alter, no matter what!

A good source for info is if you do a search over a Rickresource -

Thanks spongebob! I will post some pics of mine in this thread soon as pennance for thread derailment.

I've played my 4003 at my last two rehearsals and i'm very happy with it; it's got a lovely low-mid growl and i feel very at home with it already.
