willem_dafoe Posted July 27, 2010 Posted July 27, 2010 I'll raise you a bit more. Lefties much harder to find, specially a 74 Quote
WILD FROG SHOT Posted July 28, 2010 Posted July 28, 2010 Minor thread hijack! Has anyone with a relatively new 4003 experienced a quieter low E string than the A and D strings? I think I am going to lower the pole pieces under the louder strings and raise the bridge pickup as a whole slightly to counteract overall volume loss. Is that right? Quote
spongebob Posted July 28, 2010 Posted July 28, 2010 Common problem with Rics I'm afraid. Normally a good set-up is all that's required, but I once had one that wouldn't alter, no matter what! A good source for info is if you do a search over a Rickresource - http://www.rickresource.com Good luck! Quote

I will post some pics of mine in this thread soon as pennance for thread derailment. I've played my 4003 at my last two rehearsals and i'm very happy with it; it's got a lovely low-mid growl and i feel very at home with it already. Quote
