LemonCello
I have been salivating at the thought of owning one of these or should I save myself £500 and get the American Standard??? In anticipation, LemonCello PS: If I do go for either I'll be selling my mint 2007 Warwick Corvette $$

OutToPlayJazz
Thanks, Bubinga5! I like both, to be honest. The 50th is an excellent bass made very special just via the nitro finish (sounds amazing) and the spec of the parts. For if you didn't know, the 50th has the neck profile from the 62RI American Vintage bass (with added posiflex rods), the pickups from the US 75RI (very creamy, if a little lively) & 70's pickup spacing. The American Standard is a great bass in it's current version, but yes, the 50th is the better bass at the end of the day. Is it worth a load of extra money? Well, only you can answer that one. As for my opinion, your Corvette $$ is a better all round bass than any passive Jazz could ever be.
