Lazybass Posted July 16, 2010 Posted July 16, 2010 (edited) Absolutely beautiful Yamaha Nathan East signature 5 strings bass !! This is the original series bass that Nathan East has played on countless records, concerts and festivals with Eric Clapton, Phil Colllins, etc.. Here are some of the exclusive features: alder body with figure maple top, finished in beautiful translucent blue; maple neck with ebony fingerboard (24 frets with abalone block markers); 2 special Alnico double-coils with active electronics (Yamaha's exclusive Active-5 controls) gold-plated hardware. A true quality bass guitar, extremely versatile too. The instrument is in good condition; has some wear & tear, normal for its age - the main wear is some paint missing on the back, in the bolts area, which is NOT visible when you play - otherwise the bass is in perfect working order. I regret having to sell it due to adverse financial circumstances (wish I didn't have to !!). It looks and sounds fabulous !! Comes with the original hard case I bought it with. The bass is in North London. £ 800 ono Get it NOW before I change my mind !!!! Edited July 16, 2010 by Lazybass

tonyf Posted July 16, 2010 Posted July 16, 2010 Exactly the same colour as mine. Had mine for the best part of 15 years now (from new) and it's a bass I'll probably never get rid of. There's part of the relationship that is emotional (every single scratch on it tells a story) but primarily because it's an absolutely killer sounding and playing bass. Bump for a fabulous instrument.
eubassix Posted July 16, 2010 Posted July 16, 2010 .. this might give some ide of the price expected - it's got to be the same bass (same description etc.) :- http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Yamaha-Nathan-East-B...=item4cf055553c

lee650 Posted July 17, 2010 Posted July 17, 2010 I had one of these in exactly the same colour, bought it for stupid money and sold for naff all when a tax bill came up, bloody fantastic bass, but at the time was playing warwicks more, big regrets for getting rid of it (especially at the price i got) well worth the cash, if i didnt have a ken smith 5 im very happy with would be very tempted - big bump for the sale - lee
Golchen Posted July 17, 2010 Posted July 17, 2010 I Like the look of that very much! no spare cash unfortunately though
Lazybass Posted July 17, 2010 Author Posted July 17, 2010 I know the feeling, cash problems are the only reason I am selling it really It's a great instrument, top quality components and construction, and it's very versatile. I've used it on sessions, tours, West End shows, etc.., it always sounds like a million bucks and never gave me the slightest problem The idea of selling it is not appealing at all
I Like the look of that very much! no spare cash unfortunately though
