Why am I missing the point? That's how it sounds to me, unfocussed. I just don't like the style of it. But then I'm not much of a "jazz-funk" guy really, old Jamiroquai aside. To me it's usually the worst of both worlds.

I'll just add that if anyone isn't "bumbling around" it's James Jamerson. Comparing the two is like comparing Danny Williams to Muhammed Ali.
