A Special Bass

Hi All,

I have a quandry! It's a lovely quandry to have mind!

My good lady has agreed as an engagement present to put some money towars\a new bass! (God, I love her!!!)

Anyway, here is the brief:

Must be a 4 string
Must be Jazz bass influenced ( I like Jazz basses but woulod look at something Funky!)
Budget £800-£900

Basses on the list at the moment:

Lakland Joe Osborn
USA Fender Jazz bass
Fender Marcus Miller Jazz Bass

I welcome your thoughts and recommendations.

Fender Aerodyne Jazz? thats about 650 new on the net, money for some mods if you like to do that type of thing

I have heard that the active circuit can be noisy - yours looks stunning mate!

i would go for the JO...didnt like the pre in the MM, but played one with an east and it rocked..the Fender standard is a great bass..but i think the Laky is a better buy...Sandberg also..dont forget used basses..i also love the KSD jazzes, there fantastic..


BTW its the single coils on the MM that are noisy, the pre is just a little harsh..
