OldGit
"The bass has a replacement value of £3000 (that is, it is around what you would pay to have a bass hand-built to this standard)," Never heard of Jon Shuker then
Bassassin
Old early 80s Aria Pro bridge on that. Conveniently, about the only non-combustible part. Jon.
The Bass Doc
I like the way the rear control compartment cover blends seamlessly with the main body wood. What a load of bother to go to, to end up with a look that cries out 'home-made' (the amateur's equivalent of 'custom-built').
gjones
Quick, quick!!! Only 13hrs left to bid.
Clarky
Looks like it balances perfectly - as long as you don't mind playing it as a semi-upright and occasionally smacking the headstock on the side of your head.
Mr. Foxen
Looks quite a lot like this one:
Cat Burrito
I thought it might have been a Jazz bass
RhysP
"Based loosely on one of John Paul Jones' 1970s custom basses". I'm assuming he means JPJ's 8 string BecVar bass. The key word is obviously "loosely".............
Herbsley
MB1. ...."You will never see another bass like this anywhere!" ...Is That a Promise?
Well quite. In a funny old way, I'm sure I'm not alone in thinking I'd rather put 1500 notes towards a handbuilt bass that I HAVE seen somewhere before. Yer know - like one of those really common WALs for example.
Grandad Paul
OK I am just a "Grumpy old Man", but I have never seen "anything" in the world that I would least like to own. I am no expert but it looks what it is. A home made bass guitar that someone has designed when they had taken something that has'nt suited them. Sorry Mr. Seller, but its not for me. Good Luck. Grandad Paul.
