risingson
Love it. Nathan Watts is right up there in my favourite players. Not only is he a complete genius, but if you're Stevie's MD and right hand man then you're doing something right.

Fat Rich
Nate Watts is rapidly becoming one of my favourite bass players, another classic track!

wateroftyne
I love big, fat production like this. It's a dying art IMO.
geoffbassist
One of the ultimate bass guitar recordings. I love it!
Brother Jones
I love playing this - the only bits I can't really get are the little fills in between the verse parts. I'm guessing that detuning a 4 (rather than playing on a 5) helps with those...

thisnameistaken
I still think Songs in the Key of Life has all Stevie's best stuff. Not to mention all the classic up-tempo numbers on that album. If I could write one song as good as any of these I would die happy. Standard practice CD in my house, so standard in fact that my girlfriend has gone right off Stevie...

bubinga5
Musiquarium is very good too...first time i heard Do i Do...took the tape i bought from a second hand shop in Bournemouth to a garden party and it went down very well... i have said the before but there are a couple of albums out called The Wonder of Stevie...there all stevie's song but done buy artists such as The Players association, Gene Harris, the amazing Norman Brown, Carleen Anderson..i dont usually like cover albums but believe me this is superb... some great latin version of tunes http://www.amazon.co.uk/s/ref=nb_sb_noss?u..._216&fsc=

Fat Rich
Just listened to Innervisions and Songs in the Key of Life back to back and I think you're right. There are a few more songs on Key of Life I don't like, but that's probably because there are just more songs.... the good ones are mostly better than Innervisons, although I still think Misstra Know it All is my favourite Stevie song. Great afternoons listening!
dr1
"musiquarium" is something like best of... as for "innervisions" - it was always one of my favourites, very jazzy/funky 70's stylish. overall, i think "songs in the key.." is probably the best, even i dont categorize stevie' work in ranking best/worst. each of his albums is musical heaven. try "secret life of plants". or "characters"..."in the square circle".....there's a many. each one amazes me everytime what a musical genious is that man. thank you for the music, stevie,as maxwell said once .
