farmer61
I'm after some wall hangers for my basses. Had a look around, Hercules look ok but only have a 2 screw fitting and really want 4 if poss. Plus had a bad experience with a Hercules stand so will not get them on principal. Any recommendations??
harvey1-8
Any reason you want 4 screw fixings or is it just for peace of mind? I've got a Fender one that does the job. It only has 2 screw fixings though but, it's not like I'm swinging from it in the evenings.

gary mac
I was going to get all technical but my stupid decrepit brain is stopping me. So can't quote you the exact figure, but a 2" No.8 screw fixed into a wooden stud can support a lot of weight.
Alien
I've got a couple of these, and they're OK. The screws that came with them were fine, my only criticism is the quality of the rubber sleeving that covers the arms, but it's pretty easy to swap out. They're wide enough for my 6-string bass too, which is more than I can say for the Hercules! A

Hope Kev won't mind me linking to the original for sale thread which has a picture http://basschat.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=91428 £10 shipped, which is what I paid for it. Should be fine on stud walling provided you can find the stud.

Geek99
I have 3 hercules hangers in a stud wall and they work just fine.I did use bigger screws than those supplied though. I also rotated them so the wooden base was paralel to the stud, not perpendicular to it. If you pull the hanger away from its base, its rotateable
Grandad Paul
I think if you get the proper fixings for stud walls you could probably hang a Jumbo Jet on them. Not that you would want to I suppose. The point is though I think that anything is secure if you get the correct fixings. Grandad Paul.
