Mykesbass
Love this....awsome stuff from G Duke Billy and John Scofield. I used to love this stuff, but no matter how hard I try it doesn't do it for me anymore. Playing is spot on and thanks Bubinbga5 for posting but I just can't work out 30 years on, why I loved this stuff so much and now it leaves me cold. Oh well, yet another problem that comes with age
Faithless
Seen Billy last year, along with Hadrien Feraud.. Wasn't gobsmacked by Billie's stuff, but, Hadrien.. He was a few steps higher, than other musos on the stage..

Pete Academy
More fantastic posts. I first heard Billy Cobham on the Mahavishnu's 'Birds Of Fire' album, which I played to death as a youngster. This is the track for me: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XU4yAk6qYUs Probably the greatest drummer ever. I haven't heard any better than that from him anymore so far..
4000
The second time I saw Rich my mate (who is a drummer) came along. At one point he actually fell out of his chair with amazement. Anyway, back to the amazing Billy.... Edited July 24, 2010 by 4000
Pete Academy
Does anyone remember the spat he had with Alphonse Mouzon many years back, especially about Alphonse playing in stack heels?
