BB2000
Yamaha PB-1 preamp. These were originally sold in the 80's and early 90's and have quite a following, and it's easy to see why. Build quality is superb (the unit will outlive the buyer). Used by the likes of Tony Levin, Jeff Berlin, Billy Sheehan and JJ Burnel. Good cosmetic condition, everything works as it should. 110V unit, so you'll need to budget for a low power 240/110 adapter (available on ebay for under £4). Looking for £75 plus postage. BB2000
I'm surprised there's no interest in this - when they come up for sale in the US they are snapped up in no time. Look at the features: Bass, Middle and Treble tone control Full parametric (freq, bandwidth and level) tone control (can be switched in or out via phono jack) Full pass output (from and rear) Low pass output with freq and level control High pass output with freq and level control Send and return each with level control Balanced DI with level control (and ground lift option) Headphone output with level control Built like a brick outhouse What more would you want? Pentode
Have a bump on me! I'm also amazed there's been no interest. Team this up with a cheap and cheerful power amp and for around £250 you've got a stonking little rack setup!
Pentode
Actually, f*** it! I'll have it! John, you'll be hearing from me. There! That'll teach you all to hang around and miss the bargain of the month!
BB2000
Try it in a bi-amp setup if you get a chance.
Guest applemacintosh
Darn it! I'd have jumped at this if I'd seen it sooner. Guess I'll have to fix my car instead...
