bass_ferret Posted February 9, 2008 Posted February 9, 2008 Cant believe nobody has snapped this up. In the first photo it looks like the finish has worn away and this might be putting people off. It is probably a trick of the light and the flame but it might be worth taking better pictures.
BassBalls Posted February 10, 2008 Author Posted February 10, 2008 I would like to add then that the paint has not worn away in the first picture, its just a trick of the light. The second picture is a better representation of the colour. £400 posted in the UK.
paul, the Posted February 13, 2008 Posted February 13, 2008 Surprised this hasn't sold yet. It's otherworldly cool. I'm way out of its league.

I think it looks nicer than some of the newer shapes.
franzbassist Posted February 14, 2008 Posted February 14, 2008 Not 100% sure because of the picture quality, but am I right in thinking this is a defret?
Thunder Fingers Posted February 14, 2008 Posted February 14, 2008 It doesnt look that way to me? Not that I'm a expert on the topic, but doesn't warwick fretless basses look like that? the edges of the fretboard looks smooth and fine to me?
Lfalex v1.1 Posted February 15, 2008 Posted February 15, 2008
Not 100% sure because of the picture quality, but am I right in thinking this is a defret?
It is a de-fret. It's got a Wenge board on. Ebony is standard for Warwick fretlesses.
BassBalls Posted February 15, 2008 Author Posted February 15, 2008 Yep i was just about to say it was a de-fret. However i did not de-fret it myself, it was done before i owned the bass. To be honest, i didn't even realize it was a de-fret until Lfalex brought it to my attention, its that good a job. However if you fancied getting it re-freted i would imagine it would be easy enough to do. I got a quote to have it done for £150. The bass is still available if anyone wants it.
