Ancient Mariner
The underside looks pretty battered - what happened to it and has it affected the unit at all? Cheers. Just had a quick look through the patch list on the Roland web site - does it have stuff like flute, sax, trumpet etc patches too? They didn't seem to be listed. No no synth patches you'd need something like a GR33 or GR20 for that, this takes the magnetic signal and modifies it rather than using the signal to trigger synth sounds via midi. This is like a line 6 variax in a box, guitar modelling including alt tunings. There's loads of info here including some good sound samples. Ancient Mariner
OK, thanks. I remember the original VG-8 demo, and had been reasonably sure it did all the synthy stuff, but it sounds like they tweaked the 88 to be more guitary. It's a GR30/33 I want.
