Born 2B Mild
I didn't know when I woke up this morning that I'd host a few Basschat folk at Bass Gear Global Headquarters But Toasted came and brought his Celinder and tested a few basses, Molan brought his Will Lee Sadowsky that has possibly the thinnest neck I've ever seen, and OutToPlayJazz brought his Status S2 Classic 5-string that had the lightest action I've ever come across. They all rather liked the Victor Wootten, which is simply one of those instruments that has to be seen and played and doesn't disappoint. The tiny Bag End 1 x 10 soaked 'em all up nicely! Couple of snaps taken at this afternoon... Toasted inspects a Will Lee & Molan tests the coffee Rich and his sexy Status
BottomEndian
I never thought I'd say this about an S2 (never been keen on the body shape)... but that S2 really is sexy as hell. EDIT: Not to mention the fella holding it, of course. RRRAAAWWWRRR. Edited July 31, 2010 by BottomEndian
OutToPlayJazz
Lovely too meet you, Phil! Yes, I loved the Fodera, but was totally bowled over with Barrie's Wil Lee Sadowsky - Could you tell?! Great to meet Toasted and to have a good chat with Barrie - It's been too long, mate

[/quote] You should play / hear it! Sounded awesome & a dream to play Loads more tonal flexibility that I'd have thought possible from a Status. I think I realised the moment when you said "that's possibly the best bass I've played this year" about the Will Lee that you quite liked it Rich Good to see you again too, hope the gig tonight goes well (in fact you're probably already playing!). OutToPlayJazz
Thanks, Barrie. The final contest of the tour was a great evening. I suppose the band gets pretty slick when you've done the show forty times since March! Len Goodman was on top form, btw - SEVEN!!!
