LeftySteve
Just wondering if anyone here has seen/heard/tried the new Ampeg BA600/BA300 combos, I cannot find too much on them on the net. Seems like an attractive package, 600w, 2 channels (one B-15 voiced, one modern) 1x15 or 2x10, 50lbs weight. Thoughts or experiences? They are expected to be at the beginning of the year. This is according to my source in Ampeg. Jim
Muppet
I tired of waiting for these, so bought something else. Some UK retailers dangle the carrot as soon as announcements are made [at NAMM or elsewhere] by sticking infor on their site, knowing full well they can't get hold of stock . LeftySteve
Thanks gents, I guess that would explain the lack of info despite them being advertised just about everywhere! Muppet... would be interested to hear what you bought instead? Steve

Steve
Steve, I bought an Eden Nemesis RC410 combo instead. I already had a BA115HP. There's a write up in the review section somewhere. cheers Steve Edited December 12, 2007 by Muppet
LeftySteve
Thanks for the replies all. The plot thickens though! The Ampeg website and Thomann website are showing these images of the new BA combos: http://www.thomann.de/gb/ampeg_ba300_115.htm Whilst several UK dealers are showing these images of them: http://www.soundslive.co.uk/common/showima...e=/images/Ampeg BA600 115.jpg Very different looking! Confused? Me too! All immaterial though as they are not to be found anywhere in Europe as far as I can see right now anyway! Steve, I will check out your review of the Nemesis. Muppet
From what I gather, the initial design was the more modern one with the silver grill, which wasn't well received, so they reverted back to the well known BA combo design. Soundslive have the old pics.
Ray
So, a couple of months on.... anyone tried one yet? Looks like a great amp.
Chopthebass
If they're anything like their heads, they won't sound as loud as anticipated.
