Hey people,
I'm looking at this with a view to buying as a backup amp....
Anyone ever seen one of these before?
If so, are they any good? I can find NOTHING about them on the net....
The guy is looking for €400. I know dynacord make very good stuff, so I'm kinda interested.
Thanks!
Jesse

I don't know about this combo, but I used the fantastic BS412 which was a 1x15 EV combo, for nearly 10 years in the 80's. Dynacord was made in West Germany. It was expensive, very high quality and sounded great.

It's certainly worth a listen, but there might be more powerful, lighter and better featured gear around these days.

I have an old Dynacord Favoriti (I think that's the name) sat in a shed. I think it maybe a keyboard combo. I think it's a single 15" cone. It had a tremlo control which was fun .. for a while. From it's styling I'm sure it must be earlyish 70's build? Think I'll do some interweb searching!
....In the 80s I used a Dynacord 4 x 10" combo. The wood was stained red. It was monstrous and expensive, but a great piece of kit, with an amazing sound. The controls on that one look very similar. Anything nearing the name Dynacord = quality....
That was the first Reference series, the Reference 500/1000. I wanted to get one but couldn't even afford the deposit!!!

I think I owned one of these. The reason I say think is because it was years ago and owned it briefly but it looks very similar in control layout with same colour scheme. Quality sounding combo IIRC and I bought it with the matching 2x10 cab from Rose Morris in Denmark St.
Only reason I sold was because I was living in a high rise flat at the time where the lift rarely worked so replaced it with a 12" Roland cube which was fine for the gigs I did in those days.

I've had a bunch of vintage (50's & 60's) Dynacord stuff ... absolutely wonderful and completely bullet-proof.

I've found this site very helpful in the past: http://www.el-me-se.de/dynacord.html

Apparently the guy says it was 1800 sterling in the 80s when it came out!!!!!
Thats probably the equivilant to at least 5k nowadays... so it might be a tall tale.
I might be able to give it a listen soon, but yeah I think he's looking for a bit too much for it, even if it is quality.
