Would it work with an M9?

No, needs the fx loop of the M13.

You can of course parallel process with the M9 and other fx pedals using the LS-2

Personally everyone should have an LS-2 it's a magic box of tricks for ever situation.

Clean Boost
A/B Box for Basses or Amps
Blender
Parallel Processor
2 channel mixer to mix down stereo to mono

All sorts of groovy things you can do with it.

Every board should have both TBH. Although I'm in the process of having an expensive custom replacement built for my LS-2...

Not Compared it to the SFT, they might be quite similar really, but the Flipster is based specifically on the portaflex. But the Tech 21 Leeds is where i am with, rather than ampeg :)

Have a 3xfx bump on me Theo - was recording with my new 3xfx Buzz Bomb over the weekend - fantastic bit of kit, nice'n'unruly!! From what I've heard the Fatman is similarly OTT. In a good way.

Cheers Ian, I was letting my old guitarist (whos now a bass player) have a go with the FatMan, and it sounded really great. There hasnt been much interrest so I might try and use it like a normal fuzz (as opposed to a replacement for my blowtorch).
