OutToPlayJazz Posted August 4, 2010 Posted August 4, 2010 (edited) **THIS BASS IS NOW SOLD** Many thanks for all the interest! Okay, this bass will be with me on Friday (owned by an ex-pupil who's now selling up) and is now for sale at £1350 or nearest offer. More detailed pics to come when it arrives with me. Specs are mahogany body with walnut centre tone block, spalted maple top, a nice amber tint, black hardware, monorail bridge units, Status board 302 3-band eq with micro switch for mid cut/flat/boost & Status hotwires 30-115 double ball end strings. Graphite through neck with two way trussrod & top string retainer capable of taking both double ball end or standard strings. The bass is in excellent condition - Anyone who knows these basses will know that the finish on the poly gloss is one of the toughest finishes around - Status use the same material they use for binding the graphite composites together to lacquer the instrument, so play this bass regularly, look after it and it will still look new in twenty years' time! This bass comes complete with the Status-branded Hiscox lifelite hard case. If interested contact me here, or email , or call with any questions/queries on 07545 471037. Rich. No matter what sound you create from your playing position/eq settings, you'll always cut through the mix like a scythe.
OutToPlayJazz Posted August 6, 2010 Author Posted August 6, 2010 Okay, this bass is now under offer. More news when it happens. The owner will not accept trades on this bass, btw. This is a straight sale instrument.

My series II has been my main (and sometimes only!) bass for nearly 25 years. In that time I have played in pop, funk, soul, blues, rock and metal bands - and never has the bass been found wanting! This one is beautiful. And I'd love a Status five.... Hmmmm. I hope it sells quickly before I do something silly!!! Edited August 6, 2010 by Conan
