So I went to guitar guitar in birmingham today

I went with a friend to pickup his custom Suhr guitar. So we took the opportunity to try some guitars. I tried a Sadowsky since I'd never played one. I tried a Metro jazz in black with pearl blocks and maple fretboard. Thoroughly awesome. I didn't realise they were MIJ basses until I saw the sticker. I definitely want one now.

Did you not rip your fingers off along the sharp fret edges? I thought it was particularly bad on that example.

I tried a Metro at the Bass Gallery in Camden and thought it was ace actually.....having said that it was only in a shop...at a gig is a whole other kettle of balls.
I tried a US Sad at a gig and thought it was very very average!

i didn't really notice tbh. i was too busy just listening to the tone and thinking about getting hold of my dad's USA jazz and putting a sadowsky pre in it with some nice pickups.
