I have not broken a string for 17 years.
I now have a fender Jazz V and string it through the body with Fender 8250s with taper wound E and B strings.
I've broken 2 E strings in the last couple of months around the taper but not at the bridge saddle.

Has anyone else experienced this with this bass or strings?
