Hi there,

new to the forum and relatively new to bass (played guitars for about 8 years before finding I much prefer the bass) thought I'd introduce myself.

I picked up the bass about 5 months ago after a long time out of music, I am already on my second instrument the first being an Ibanez SR300 which was ok but I quickly got annoyed with the electronics and bridge working loose. Am now using a white Ibanez BTB470 which is nearly spot on (the electronics are coming out and an audere 3zb preamp is going in at the end of the month hopefully). My amp setup is an Ashdown Mag C21T0 300 with 1x15 deep extension cab, my pedalboard consists of a korg tuner and Ashdown Lomenzo Hyperdrive fuzz pedal but has somme additions planned.

I currently play for a rock / indie band in the Mansfield area and we are gigging a fair bit with the first few paid or decent sized ones happening this month which is good. We are planning to get in the studio next year at some point to record some new original material for the bands second EP.

I am going to be in the market for a 5 string Fender Jazz or MM Stingray at some point early next year (kinda sold on the stingray sound more having played both but THE WEIGHT DIFFERENCE!!!! wouldn't want to play a long set with the MM)

So yeah, thats me, hope to pick your brains about stuff in the future. I will be keeping an eye on the for sale boards too for any juicy bits of kit that take my fancy.

Over and out.
