Kye Posted August 10, 2010 Posted August 10, 2010 Got a Fender P-Bass with a badass fitted on it, wondering would I be able to fit a bridge cover on it? Quote
OutToPlayJazz Posted August 10, 2010 Posted August 10, 2010 The standard size Fender bridge cover doesn't fit over the huge Badass II - But I'm sure someone somewhere must have realised this and makes a bigger one. No? Ah well Quote

Beedster Posted August 11, 2010 Posted August 11, 2010 A guy on eBay sells Jazz bridge covers to fit over a Badass but a Precision cover would need to be disproportionally large to do the job. If you move it back about 3mm, a traditional Precision bridge cover will however fit over most Gotoh fender-fit bridges, and in most respects, they're just as good as a Badass. You are of course aware of Beedster's Law: Badass bridge on Precision = blonde wig on Kylie. OK but entirely unnecessary, and by no means an improvement on the original configuration. C Quote
Cat Burrito Posted August 12, 2010 Posted August 12, 2010 Purely out of interest did it fit the original Badass bridges in the 90s? Quote

Cat Burrito Posted August 12, 2010 Posted August 12, 2010 Ah, ok - it was the 90s when I first remember hearing of them as they got raved about in Bassist magazine. You learn something everyday. Quote
nash Posted August 12, 2010 Posted August 12, 2010 Guitar parts resource did a P bridge cover to go over a badass II. Quote

nash Posted August 12, 2010 Posted August 12, 2010 Just looked on the site and it's not on there now. I can't remember that last time I looked on there Quote

IME many Precision players stick to the stock BBOT bridges whilst many Jazz players upgrade to higher mass and larger models, which perhaps explains it? Quote
nash Posted August 12, 2010 Posted August 12, 2010 You might be right there. I love my BAII on my P-bass. I could definately hear a difference. Only small but it was an improvemen IMO Quote
