RockfordStone
or is it really annoying when you try to keep your basses in good condition, and you find that you have acquired some new dents/dings. i sat down to find that my bass has acquired 3 new impact dings..... i wouldnt mind but ive not touched the thing in 2 weeks.... annoying to say the least

Edit: It was probably around the same time that I decided that buying used was a much better idea than buying new. Cat Burrito
One ding is a disaster, two dings annoying, once you get past three - it's mojo!
funkypenguin
I play an awful lot and my basses all get gigged on a regular basis, everything from pubs to theatre pits so i see it as inevitable that they will get knocked from time to time. HMX
Should I feel foolish when I say little bits of damage add to the character and history of the bass?

ahpook
to me basses are tools, and tools get the odd battle scar. so it goes.

Dunno how I`d feel if I was a Rickenbacker/Status/Warwick owner tho.

BigRedX
Not a problem. When it gets too scruffy looking get it refinished.
EdwardHimself
...or am i all on my own again? Sorry. I have this problem with my guitar because being explorer shaped you tend to hit the end of the body at the top on a lot of things. Marvin
Depends what bass it was. If were a Fender I'd probably just let it go. However, my current Ibanez isn't really a bass that goes well with the mojo look, so would probably go for a refinish if it got to a stage where it annoyed me. farmer61
Walked my T-bird into a door frame while carrying two basses into my house after my last gig, was not best pleased!!
Gust0o
I have noticed that a couple of mine have acquired dings at a height which can only be attributable to the hoover. After a month of training the puppy to avoid them, the wife has finally made up for it.
