Kev
anyoen else tried one, or even heard of one of these proper old school soviet pedal, mine was made in november 1988, even has writing on it in russian, cool stuff anyways just been playin with it, and the improvement it makes to my ears to my tone is mad. i use it to cut mids slightly at around 1k, boost lows around 350, and boost highs around 12k, i think it sounds fairly superb: http://www.soundclick.com/bassmankev click on 'music page', and then click on the first sound, hifi signal chain (relavent pedals): happy robot fuzz > zoom 506II > bad monkey > pickle pie > rat > blowtorch > lell peq zoom is on all through, with some compression and a random amp model (sounds suprisingly good, to me anyways) each effect is first without the eq, then with first sound is clean and bad monkey, then the rat (zoom off, monkey on), then the pickle pie (monkey on), then the blowtorch (monkey on), then the happy robot (zoom off), then just random messing around, the last part being the pickle pie and happy robot together, which creates a bottomless synth fuzz sound. what you reckon?? think i may need to boost the mids a bit more, but i reckon its makin a pretty good effect on the sound of my board Edited December 12, 2007 by BassManKev

Wil
As you say, its very scooped (more so on the earlier samples). I'd add some more low mid in there as I don't see that cutting through guitars. Edited December 12, 2007 by Wil

clauster
Man, I'm loving that FP/DM3 Jam! not usually a fan of anything more than a bit of compression, but that snippet is proof that too much is sometimes just enough!
