The Shrek
Just recieved my Eden 210xlt of ebay. Linked it up with the one I already have and my WT 550. Disaster! Disconnected the new cab and low and behold own cab sounds fine. Connect just amp and new cab....fuzz tone. When i damp the bass string and make the cones move, one is flexing freely in and out while the other seem stiff and seized, this is the same result if I gently push the cones with my hand. one feels really tight. Any advice, I am not technical nor do i have ohm metres to test them! I suppose I can swap speakers from one cab to another cause they are identical cabs and rule out the faulty driver but I still wouldn't know what was wrong with it! Musky
Sounds like you might have a seized voice coil. The other possibility is that something has got itself stuck between the cone and the frame.

stevie
A shock in transit could have shifted the magnet slightly, which would cause the coil to seize. It's not normally worth repairing that kind of fault, as it's a lot of work. If it were mine, I'd report the fault to my seller asap and ask for a refund.
