parker_muse
Hey guys, This is my lovely Fender Precision which i'm putting up for sale. She's lovely, a real read turner to look at as it's not a common bass you'll see on the gigging circuit. I'm selling her because the neck is just too thick for my hands - which is a good note to potential buyers too - it's not a standard precision neck from what i understand, it is chunkier more akin to that of the original P basses, but i'm sure someone could tell you more about that. Tone wise, it's what you see is what you get. It's got all that classic P growl when you whack the tone up and go for it. It can be sharp or warm and responds to various EQs well. I liked it with a 'Smiley face' EQ as it gives a real balls and cut through a mix. I'd be keeping her but it's really effecting how I play because of the neck and my tiny toddler like hands! I'm looking for a sale as i want to tart up my old vintage stingray and turn that into a monster. Though, i would entertain some trade ideas if you've got anything? Here is a picture of the bass - this is one i found on google. It is identical to mine. This bass was owned by Tom1946 before me and Shockwave i believe before that and they can vouch for it's quality, i believe shockwave has an excellent selection of pictures of the bass and i shall try to find the original for sale thread and get those to you as i've lost my camera cable. £380 collected, £400 posted. PRICE DROP: £350 collected 370 Posted Thanks for looking guys. Edited August 31, 2010 by parker_muse

My wife would kill me though. I've been wanting a Squier CV just like yours for a while but that's around half the price second-hand. If it's still for sale in October I may may able to do something! Best of luck though and if i can't sleep you may receive a PM in the middle of the night!
bumnote
Ive got one of these and im tending to make it my first pick up bass. If you like a precision they are great. The neck is marginally [nearly a mm ] wider than the japanese reissues or my 64. It still plays and sounds great, and mine is pretty light too. Amazing quality. Great price too. Someone should snap this up - you won`t be dissapointed.

Bassman Rich
Nice bass, I have a 1980s usa one with 45 mm nut spacing, its great for those dark sweaty stages where the fingers go all over the place, plenty of space for slob hand sloppyness and still hitting the note. If I didnt have too many basses already I'd snap this up

I have one of these and they play better than 99% of MIA Precision's and the sound you can pull out of them can be simply THUNDEROUS at times! Stick some flats on it and you'll be ripping through the chest of every person in the audience. A BARGAIN price too!
