Mex Jazz bass by Fender

Electro Blue I think they call it - its kinda metallic.
Two volumes and a pickup select switch.

upgraded passive pickups by Kent Armstrong.
4 teminals coming out of each p'up.
not sure what model p'ups they are - says Kent Armstrong underneath the p'up

Each volume has a push pull function::
i think its series / parallel for each p'up.
It could series / single coil for each - not sure really

anyway, when they're in its a full fat sound, and when they're up it wipes the fat off and sounds jazzier.
More bite for soloing.
They don't make any any noise when they're working independently, which is good right!

Otherwise its all pretty much as is.
bass is in pretty good nick, the neck is in great shape with no issues and has a nice vintage colour to it.

the red dot on the knobs are just a bit of the GF's nail varnish - it'll come off with her nail polish remover if you hate it.
If you prefer the original jazz bass black knobs, they can go back on - s'up to the buyer

had a p'up cover over the neck p'up at some point, so there's a couple of extra holes in the plate where it once lived.
That's a stonker!
Isn't it just!?

Think in 1995 they were doing Lake Placid Blue, changed it to Blue Agave late 90's/early 00's (Lighter), Electron Blue in the Mid 00's very dark... and now back to LPB, the king of Fenders Blue paint pots.

This would love to be a Stack Knob with Covers on...

Just trying to figure where the money is...ooh, skint. Shucks.

Very cool bass.
I used to own a bass identical to that in the mid 90s - the pickups were rubbish and I had different volumes on different strings. A small part of me wonders if it's my old bass but "fixed". That would be spooky.
:)
This bass plays and sounds great so niffink spooky about it!!
