Dynacord S 1200 power amp

thinking of getting a tube preamp to run with a power amp,there's one of these for sale locally.can anyone tell me about them?

Don't know about their power amps, but in the mid 80s, Dynacord bass rigs were very highly rated IIRC... German made I think..

my dad is a main dealer for dynacord gear, we use it ourselves. Well made stuff, and great sounding too. I had an lx2200 power amp for my rig for a short while.. was great, but ended up selling it because it was far too powerful.

I recently tried out a small but powerful PA/powered monitor by Dynacord. It was *VERY* impressive. It was a better sounding active cab than any of the other gear I got to try out, but here's the downside. ...It was 3 times the price of the others. I dunno about this particular amp, but if the price is right, I'd have no worries buying it myself, based on my limited experience of the brand.

If it's a Dynacord it'll be great, heavy and expensive! They're known for their excellent PA systems and make some of the best amps and speakers you'll ever hear. They are now owned by Electro-Voice.

Agree..all the Dynacord stuff I have used, I initially thought, 'what are they giving me?'
But I soon came to realise that it is very decent kit, just not so well known over here.

In Germany and the like, the rider choice for bass gear would be, typically, TE or Ampeg as you knew where you stood with that, but after a while you secretly hoped that you might get Dynacord....
I think it is name of quality gear, so from that POV, I'd have no worries.
