Jaco Pastorius Tribute bass £900

for all those who thought my bass was a fake or not a 'tribute bass'
this is the the email i sent to Fender followd by their reply which I just recieved.
NB. i starred out the actual number as this is a public forum

Is it possible to check the serial and confirm its authenticity?

This instrument is legitimate, this is a 12/1/2005 model.

We didn't say it a was a fake Fender bud, just said it wasn't the custom shop Version of the Jaco Bass.

you guys asked me to email Fender. You guys also said Fender hardly ever reply.
so i did and they do answer....so i leave it now cos I'm keeping the bass for now
.
I wanted to big up Fender as they responded and they seemed like they care

so thats all folks!!!

now I'll leave it!
