is the 1000w tiny terror suitiable for gigging?
a friend of mine thinks not, but the 1000w says yes.

any thoughts?
i'll buy one if it's okay!
That amp will need a serious cabinet to take the wattages properly.

You can easily gig virtually all normal venues with the Bass Terror 500, in fact, im sure you could do pretty large venues with it NO problem.

I'd be interested to find out why an Orange Terror Bass 1000 WOULDN'T be suitable for gigging?

Excellent.... Loud, powerful(500w head into a 600w cab), great sound and tiny :). My variety of bands play various venues from 100-500+ capacities and never had a problem. Bigger venues will always mic/DI your rig anyway.

why wouldn't you be able to gig it?

the only reason i can think of that it wouldnt be suitable for gigging is that the metal case doesnt seem as hard wearing as a traditional wood cased amp.... but aslong as you take care of it... i dont see a problem.

The gig bag is great protection and the amp is super light, so it should be fine :)
