Unappreciated Basses

In celebration of my rejuvenated relationship with my trusty jazz, I was wondering if any of you have ever experienced something similar, that in pursuit of the next best thing, you missed that you already had the best thing for you.

Anyone here ever underappreciated the instruments they've been blessed with? (then realised their mistake)

I had fallen out of love with my Aerodyne for quite some time and was on the verge of selling it to a mate. I decided to give it a quick set up for the potential new owner and in the process remembered what a great bass it is.

I have now decided to keep it haven't been able to put it down since.
