arthurhenry Posted August 19, 2010 Posted August 19, 2010 Pretty tough going, especially the second section at the 12th fret and some serious open string action in the last part. Good fun, but don't let the guitarist start it too fast! Quote

I've got a songbook that covers Leige & Lief, Full House and Angel Delight. It covers the treble clef only. Dirty Linen is denoted as being in 9/8 and also in 2/4. Quote
KevB Posted August 19, 2010 Posted August 19, 2010 Is that Dave Pegg playing on it originally? underrated player. Quote

Ashley Hutchins, and Sandy Denny had left by then and Richard Thompson was to leave soon after. He's still one of my favourite bass players active today and has been a big influence to me since those very days. Quote
KevB Posted August 19, 2010 Posted August 19, 2010 First heard DP in Tull then worked my way back to his FC stuff. Saw his son play with Tull once also and with Francis Dunnery, Pegg jnr seemed a decent player too. Quote

Without them FC was an empty shell, even if some of the individuals were good musicians. Quote
4-string-thing Posted August 19, 2010 Posted August 19, 2010 Ever played it? Lol, not with much success..... just about got the first tune nailed though. Peggy is the master! Anyone ever tried "Tokyo" from The "nine" album? Quote
Dom in Dorset Posted August 20, 2010 Posted August 20, 2010 (edited) I've always rated Pegg but it wasn't until Glastonbury last year that I really appreciated his genious.I saw him playing from less than 20' away, stunning stuff, throwing in open strings all over the place, he knows that neck inside out. niceguyhomer Posted August 20, 2010 Posted August 20, 2010 We do something similar - this vid is of my band playing Wolfstone's The Howl at Whitworth Festival - not particularly tricky to play but it took me a long time to learn it... Quote
