Old Horse Murphy
Guys I need some help from people far more technically-minded than myself I was lucky enough to buy Nologic69's (Mario's) Stingray HS from him this week. The bass is amazing and easily the best Stingray I have played. It is however fitted with one of John East's Musicman Preamps (a 4 band one) and while I'm an admirer of John's excellent kit, I want to restore it back with the original preamp. I opened up the cavity last night and honestly would not know where to begin!! I'm okay with a soldering iron but my expertise runs to being able to rewire a P Bass pickup and change the occasional pot Any help or guidance would be gratefully received

Ou7shined
I know I'm just being an ass. On a more helpful note ~ nip down to Maplin and pick up a desoldering pump (if you don't already have one). You my get some good intel' from the pics here
