TRadford
I was at a small festival yesterday and one of the bands bassists had a lovely looking Warwick streamer. The band were kinda punky/metal but the bass was booming through. You couldnt hear the guitar at all, which isnt a bad thing. The bass sounded exactly how I want my basses to sound. It had that growl at the bottom and the top end was rounded but bright. I couldnt see what amp he was using as it was peeing down with rain and we were sheltering in a gazebo a little way back from the stage I cant get my Waria to sound like that no matter what I try. I dont know if its down to the wood or what? His bass was dark, so much have been a darker wood (bubinga?) dunno what streamers are made from, and my Waria is light again Im not sure what wood it is. Mabe thats the difference? Made me feel crap,as Ive just dropped £700 on building a new PC. That could have bought me a lovely Streamer or Corvette. Maybe time to slim my bass collection and buy one! *edit* Just found the guys equipment list Warwick Streamer Stage II Bass, Rotosound Swingbass 66 strings heavy gauge 50,70,85,110, Trace Elliot AH500-12 Amplifier through 4x12 + horn cab and 1x20 cab Cant see me affording a stage II anytime soon Edited August 22, 2010 by TRadford

stingrayPete1977
It sounds more like the 1x20 cab that would of been booming through to me?, Even a Ric with a pick would be booming through that setup!
