Thats alot of strings

228 members so far (roughly)
1189 basses

So thats at least 4756 strings.

And roughly half a million pounds.

And thats only about 10% of the forum.
NOW it's 228 with 1195 - but sadly mine are all worth (what is value though? I love them all) less than average, but most of them can add to the number of strings... make that at least 4793 strings!

4756 strings at roughly £18 a pk shall we say?

4756 / 4 (for guess work here) 1189 (duh = number of basses)

1189 x £18 = £21402... and thats once every how often?!
^if the average number of strings is about 4.2 let's say then that's over 5000 strings!
I hate to think it's so low! But my average is only just over 5 and there are so many 4s...

one thing is that not everyone replaces their strings at the same time, i'm personally not going to till one of them breaks- they're just so expensive and i've got a lot of other things to spend my money on, my bass sounds ok as it is any way.

My from scratch project fretless has manifested. I gigged it on Friday - completely unfinished (bare wood, makeshift electrics) but playable.

Props to Neepheid without whos help routing out the 'lectrics hole it wouldn't have been ready on time.
