This no longer gets played, so I'm hoping someone will make it a nice home :)

Epiphone Thunderbird - 4-string reverse. Nice player, stock pick-ups and electronics. Dent on the headstock and some marking around the bridge where it's been adjusted. Currently fitted with new Ernie Ball Slinkys.

Comes with Ritter Thunderbird gigbag, which is nicely padded.

Looking for around [s]£150[/s] £125, but very much open to offers - as above, it's not being played, so if you've got an idea then shout!

Happy to post but those local (another Yorkie here) can bob-in and try. I'll even throw in a cuppa

Gah! I have both, a 5- and a 4-string, so I knew I had a 50/50 chance of getting the description partly right! :)

Thanks for the heads-up cocco!

No worries brother. It would make more sense if that was the reverse shape I think. Damn fender lawsuit (I believe)

Au contraire, that is the reverse shape; http://www.flyguitars.com/gibson/bass/Thunderbird_1963.php

& this is the non-reverse; http://www.flyguitars.com/gibson/bass/Thunderbird_1966.php

Anyway, whatever it is - cool bass at cheap price from top guy to deal with! :)

Fiver?

:)

Just kidding.

Is it Korean or Chinese? Not that I know the difference.

I've got a bit of GAS for a thunderbird at the moment. Don't know why as I've never tried one.

Heard the neck dive is pretty bad but can be sorted. How thick and wide are the necks on these?

PMs replied to - I think I owe you all some new pics of the various bits, and I'll sort you out with some dimensions Cameltoe :)

Neckdive can be readily sorted. I simply used a wide strap and it didn't much impact me thereafter, but moving the strap button is a quick fix.

Reet, neck is 4.2cm at the nut, looking E to G; 2cm deep at widest part, for my own measurements. Neck is a shallow shallow D-shape, much more akin to the P-style basses in my collection, but very flat at the widest parts. Lacquer runs all the way over it, meaning it's a very quick player.

I took some shots of the various knocks - headstock dent; finish crack; screwdriver markings; etc:

Sorry, this has now definitely gone.

I've been very remiss in replying to people on this one, so I'll be sending round some apologies in due course.
